Laurence is a writer and a journalist, who was assigned in Pakistan for many years. In the old city of Lahore she fell in love with the old traditional house of the grandson of the famous poet Mohammed Iqbal.
( Once entering the house through a huge woodden door decorated with old wrought iron nails, it was sheer heaven ! patios, marble terraces with fountains, outside corridors leading to the bedrooms. But living in Pakistan was unthinkable ! )
Years later the dream turned out to become reality in Morocco. As Laurence was travelling with her husband Olivier, they found an old riad to be renovated. After two years work, it became a refined traditional riad, showing all the Moroccan workmanship.
Today Laurence ambition is to share her passion with her guests.
She recently found out that at the turn of the century the Riad was the property of the descendants of the French writer Jean de La Fontaine. A sign of destiny!
